Transparency moment.....I'm a worry wort. My brain runs nonstop with so many questions and scenarios. How am I going to get all of these things done on my to do list? Am I a good Mother? What will people think about me posting inspirational videos and quotes everyday? How can I become debt free? What bill still needs to be paid this month? Who can I tell my inner most thoughts to and feel safe as if I've entered the no judgment zone?
Worrying is so exhausting and weighs heavy on the spirit. As a matter of fact, worrying is a Debbie Downer.
Can anyone relate? Have you ever been so overwhelmed from worry that you either shut down, or do you pretend as if all is well? Honestly, you can only pretend for so long, because those that truly know you will see right through your shenanigans.
The Bible tells us to be anxious for nothing, but to be thankful in every circumstance. We must praise God in the good and the bad. Whether we are up or down. Whether we have plenty or a little. God instructs us to cast ALL of our cares on Him. He's got it. God tells us to rest in Him. He knows what we have need of. He will supply.
It's human nature to worry, but we can only do so much. We are mere mortals; however if we let our requests be known to God giving thanks, He will give us a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Don't let anxiety zap your joy. Remember you are a child of The One. In His word, God assures you that He will uphold you, provide for you, carry you, deliver you, and strengthen you.
So pray and don't worry.
