The struggle between doing what's right vs wrong.

When you want to do the right thing, but sin is saying you get a pass this time. You always choose right, so it will be ok if you don't this time.

Sin goes back to the beginning of time. We know the story of Cain and Abel. Isaac and Jacob. They knew better, but chose to give in to the voice that said do the wrong thing. They didn't consider the consequences that followed. The hurt, the shame, the punishment that came after giving in to sinful thoughts.

As long as we live, this battle will exist. Just the sinful thought alone makes us wretched, BUT GOD. Jesus saved us from a life of sin and shame. His blood covers our transgressions. His wounds healed our iniquities. His death, burial and resurrection overcame it all.

We aren't bound by sin. We are in the world, but not of the world; therefore we must transform and renew our minds daily so that we don’t give in to our sinful nature. We must pray without ceasing and stay watchful for the enemy's attacks. We must stand firm in our faith when the storms of life rage. We must look to our God for direction. He is our help and in Him we hope. There is less of a struggle when we rest in Him and truly put it all in His hands.
