If it had not been for the Lord, where would I be.

If it had not been for the Lord, where would I be.

If it had not been for the Lord, where would I be.

The holidays are upon us. It's supposed to be a joyous season, but for some that's not the case. Many of us mourn the loss of our loved ones, so this season can typically be difficult for most. Depression can creep in leaving us feeling lost, hopeless, down in the dumps, and ready to give up on life. Our thoughts are all over the place and we feel as if we're suffocating.

Praise God for bringing to our remembrance His faithfulness. God has been there for us time and time again. He erases our doubts and calms our fears. We can’t forget that His compassions fail not; they are new every morning. God can suppress feelings of anxiety. He's just that powerful. He gives us peace when our thoughts become overwhelming. We find comfort and delight in His word.

God will come to our rescue. He won't allow us to let go or throw in the towel. He settles us and keeps us. God is our help. He is with us.

The next time we stay to feel uneasy, depressed, anxious, or feeling as if life would be a better place if we weren't in it, let us remember to hope in God and never forget that His lovingkindness endureth forever. I bet we start to feel better, lighter, stronger and more calm.

OptimisticallyKe....that's me
