I had it all planned out.

I had it all planned out.

I had it all planned out. I was going to be a Cardiologist. I would be married by 30. Have 3-4 children by 35, and I would be making X amount of money by 40.

Let me just say that my life went nothing like that at all. I am not a doctor. After several situationships, I finally married one month short of my 35th birthday. If you count my 2 miscarriages, then yes I do have 4 children, but I was in my 40s by the time my last one came along, and nope, my salary is nowhere near what Cardiologists make.

What about you? Have you ever written an outline of how you wanted or expected your life to go? Whether it was your career, the type of home you would live in, your service in ministry, or at what age you would retire.

Proverbs 16:9 says, "In their hearts humans plan their course but the Lord determines their steps". It's natural to make big plans or have a timeline for your life; however, God has the final say. He guides and directs our paths. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God predestined what each of our journeys would be.

God knows the plan and it's full of hope and prosperity. Enjoy the path that He has set before you. You may not know exactly where it will lead you, but trust that God knows best which route you should take.

OptimisticallyKe...that's me
