Earlier this week I forgot to plug up my phone before going to bed; needless to say, my alarm didn't go off to wake me up the next morning. My battery was dead. I couldn't make any calls, read my bible app, or do any of my morning rituals.

My morning was thrown off. I rushed to get myself and the girls dressed. It was too late for breakfast so that made everyone cranky and discombobulated. Our energy levels were out of whack, which made for an awesome start to our day. I'm sure we all were productive and on our "A" game that day. Yeah right lol.

Just like the phone not working due to having no charge, our lives don't work without Jesus. We should be in constant communication with Him. He is "The Source". We need Jesus help to survive everyday life.

John 15 talks about Jesus being the vine and we are the branches. The vine is the root. It keeps things steady and in balance. Nourishment flows from the vine, out to the branches. It is strong and secure. As long as the branches draw from the vine, it will be fruitful.

We can do nothing without Jesus. We must be in constant connection with God (the source), so that we can live fruitful, abundant lives instead of having no charge (dead) waiting to be plugged in for a spark to jump start our day.

OptimisticallyKe....that's me
